Stay At Home Reading Rush

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I am going to be participating in the Stay at Home Reading Rush Readathon that will be starting tomorrow and ending this coming Sunday (April 16th-19th). This readathon is hosted by the wonderful duo, Ariel Bissett and Raeleen Lemay. There are four different prompts and people tend to read four separate books for each prompt. I know that finishing ONE book right now in such a short time is going to be miraculous so I’ll be doubling/tripling up on these challenges.

The four different reading prompts are:

The two main books I will be focusing my attention these next four days are “Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating” by Christina Lauren and “The Flatshare” by Beth O’Leary.

I’ll be my re-reading my favorite “Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating” by for the prompts – “a book that makes you smile” and “a book in the same room the whole time”. I read this pretty fast and will probably finish it in a day and a half. I’ll also be picking up “Red White and Royal Blue” by Casey McQuiston this Sunday with a friend and I’m so excited. I know I’ll definitely not be able to finish the entirety of RWRB in a day but I want to get a chunk of it read on Sunday. I really need to read these two books because it always makes me so happy, it’s the perfect pick me up.

I’m going to be reading “The Flatshare” for the prompts – “a book set somewhere you wish you could go” and the prompt “a book with a house on the cover”. This book is also on my OWL.s TBR, a month long readathon hosted by G from the Book Roast. I haven’t started this book yet and it’s not too long so I’m hoping to knock it out this weekend. Also, the premise of this book screams slow burn and also reminds me of this old Indian movie so I’m pretty excited to see what I think of it. I heard the writing is unique and a lot of people either love it or hate it.

I’ll also be working through my buddy read  “Lovely War” by Julie Berry and my other current read, “The River of No Return” by Bee Ridgway but these aren’t my priority reads, I just need to read a couple pages of these two a day to keep on track.

Are you going to be participating in the Stay At Home Reading Rush readathon? If so, what books do you want to get to?
