Summer is at it’s peak and August is coming up in a few days. If you’re a fall enthusiast, you’ve got one more month of summer lol. So I thought the perfect way to stress about a new season is to share a list of some books I want to reread this summer!
The cover of this book screams SUMMER. I remember really enjoying this book, especially the writing. I remember the story was easy flowing but had a lot of depth – the perfect combination for a contemporary romance for me. While this is somewhat marketed as a romance book, I think that it should also be made known that the story mainly follows a woman really trying to restart her life and come together again after a certain incident. So not only do we get a romance but we also get to see a bunch of character growth. I really want to reread this book this summer because it’s a nice short read which will definitely get me out of this weird slump.
This book is pure fun and honestly, I just want to read something that will make me laugh out loud and smile because the coming few days are going to be extremely stressful for me. Out of all the books on this list, this one is the softest one. It’s like eating that one extra chocolate filled cupcake you probably shouldn’t eat. This book is the definition of a rom-com. There’s romance and there’s definitely a bunch of comedy.
Everyone’s been reading this book and absolutely LOVING IT. I remember reading this book last year and while I liked it, I didn’t love it. There were many great discussions covering various topics such as chronic illness and more but the romance fell a bit flat for me. I think I had trouble with the writing in the beginning of the book and couldn’t really invest myself in the romance? Basically, I want to reread it to see why I didn’t love the romance aspect of it as much I had wanted to.
