WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam over on Taking on a World of Words

The idea is pretty simple, every week you dedicate a post to the three W’s:

What are you currently reading?

What have you just finished reading?

What are you going to read next?

Save the world or end it.

A strange darkness is growing in the Ward. Even Corayne an-Amarat can feel it, tucked away in her small town at the edge of the sea.

Fate knocks on her door, in the form of a mythical immortal and a lethal assassin, who tell Corayne that she is the last of an ancient lineage—with the power to save the world from destruction.

Because a man who would burn kingdoms to the ground is raising an army unlike any seen before, bent on uprooting the foundations of the world. With poison in his heart and a stolen sword in his hand, he’ll break the realm itself to claim it. And only Corayne can stop him.

Alongside an unlikely group of reluctant allies, Corayne finds herself on a desperate journey to complete an impossible task, with untold magic singing in her blood and the fate of the world on her shoulders.

I’m currently reading Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard and I’m only in the beginning parts of it but I’m enjoying it so far. I just started the second chapter so when I say the beginning, I quite literally mean the very beginning so I don’t have much to say yet about it. I thought the prologue was a pretty strong opener and am looking forward to reading the rest.

Sparks fly when a romance novelist and a documentary filmmaker join forces to craft the perfect Hollywood love story and take both of their careers to the next level—but only if they can keep the chemistry between them from taking the whole thing off script.

Felicity “Fizzy” Chen is lost. Sure, she’s got an incredible career as a beloved romance novelist with a slew of bestsellers under her belt, but when she’s asked to give a commencement address, it hits her: she hasn’t been practicing what she’s preached.

I just finished reading “The True Love Experiment” by Christina Lauren and I loved it. It’s the first romance I’ve read this summer and this year that made me go, this is what a summer romance is. Honestly, it brought me the same giddiness and joy that my first Christina Lauren, “Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating”, did and that means a lot considering the fact that Christina Lauren book is what got me into romance in the first place.

As a shy school librarian, Alexis Stone is comfortable keeping out of the spotlight. But when she’s dumped for being too meek—in bed!—the humiliation is a wake-up call. She decides she needs to change, and what better way to kick-start her new more adventurous life than with her first one-night stand?

Enter Logan, the gorgeous, foul-mouthed stranger she meets at a hotel bar. Logan is audacious and filterless, making him Alexis’s opposite—and boy, do opposites attract! Just as she’s about to fulfill her hookup wish, the hotel catches fire in a freak lightning storm—and in their rush to escape, Logan is discovered carrying her into the street, where people are waiting with cameras. Cameras Logan promptly—and shockingly—flees.

Alexis is bewildered until breaking news hits: pictures of her and Logan escaping the fire are all over the internet. It turns out Logan is none other than Logan Arthur, the hotshot politician challenging the Texas governor’s seat. The salacious images are poised to sink his career—and jeopardize Alexis’s job—until a solution is proposed: to squash the scandal, he and Alexis could pretend to be in a relationship until election day…in two months. What could possibly go wrong?

I’m not going to lie, I’m not entirely sure what to read next. I think that I’ll be either picking up a poetry book or another romance. I just got some not so news and what better way to escape from reality than reading a romance? It’s a long weekend and I think that if the weather clears up and I get to head out to the beach for a bit, it’ll be fun to lay in the sand and read a fast paced romance. I’ve been hearing about this book on the “Bad on Paper” podcast and after the success I had with “The True Love Experiment”, I’m hoping that I’ll have just as much fun with this book.
